Seven Men Who Rule The Word From The Grave (pt2)

(2) Karl Marx – The Ruling Principle for all Humanity

Born – 1818

Died – 1883

Fruit – Marxism, Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism

Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Mao are what I call the “four horseman of the “Communist” apocalypse”…..unoriginal title I must admit, but neither were any of these men.

Second on the list of men who rule the world from the grave is none other than the revolutionary thinker himself, Karl Marx. There is just too much to say on this man, and time would evade me if I were to try and comment on everything that is spoken about in Dave Breese’s book.

One thing though I would like to draw attention to is his radical ideals of how he viewed the world, and what came about through his mind. Allow me to introduce the philosophical behemoth known as Communism!

Marx’s inclusion in this list of men is unequivocal. Marxism\Socialism/Communism is a political structure which at one time after world war two took hold of one-third of the population of the  entire world. The influence of such teachings are underlined in hisCommunist Manifesto of 1847 and further illustrated in his three book epic “Das Kapital

The teaching of Communism is underpinned by three distinct teachings explained by Dave Breese in his book.

1) Communism is first of all Atheism. At the core of its philosophy and conduct is the conviction and oft-repeated announcement “there is no God

2) A second major feature of Marxist thought is “materialism”. Materialism denies the existence of such unseen, immeasurable realities as love, honour, courage, and fidelity. Instead these are redefined in Marxist thought. The underlining thought behind this is that humans are merely matter in motion. There is no uniqueness to humans, we are merely atoms and molecules. Communism is just the next step in reaching the “utopia” here on Earth.

3) A third characteristic of Marxist thought has to do with economics. It is best called “economic determinism“. Marx believed in a form of natural selection, but he held that this selection was not produced by biological forces but by economic forces. For him, the capitalist societies were weak, decadent, cruel, and exploitive because the capitalists are taught to believe they own their own clothes, shoes, bicycles, cars and homes. Marx saw this concept of personal possession as the grossest of evils because he believed that what a person presumed to own is in contrast to indeed in opposition to, the good of society. To Marx, the individual counted for nothing and was only significant as he functioned for the good of society.

It can safely be said that of all the thousands of variations of Marxist thought, the basic principles are the same and are built on these three pillars: atheism, dialectical materialism and economic determinism.

To best illustrate the influence of Marxism, look at the people who have taken hold of this principle and the damage it has done, not only to societies but the lives that have been lost due to the cruel hand of the Communist leaders. Soviet Union, China, North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba, Ethiopia, Eastern Europe. Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Kim Jong-il, Kim Il-sung, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara etc.

Karl Marx was buried beneath a tombstone at Highgate Cemetery in north London, on the tombstone are written these words, and how true are they of this man who continues to wield so much power from beyond the grave.

“Philosophers have attempted to interpret the world, but their real purpose is to change it”
