We Had No Right (short poem)

wpid-stone-rolled-away.jpg

He drank until there was nothing left.
My guilt, his love, 3 days of restlessness.

The cup of indignation which was meant for me.
The second of the three, drank it amongst scheming thieves.

Who am I? That the Saviour should bleed? My sin, oh gracious Lord you intercede
You deserve all the glory!
All hail the King of this story.

A new chapter unfolded, the grave clothes were graciously folded.
The dark day gave way to clear displays.
The stone rolled away, you gracious Lord, are the only Way.

  1. Amen. Thanks for the encouraging poem. Praise God that the Lord bled for our sins, defeated death, and we will one day live victoriously with Him in heaven.
